Statement of Nondiscrimination
In compliance with Title IX of the Educational Amendment of 1972; Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended by the Equal Employment Opportunity Act of 1972; Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1978, Johnson County School District #49-0033 (Sterling Public Schools) shall not discriminate on the basis of sex, age, race, color, national origin, religion or handicap in the educational programs or activities it operates.
It is the intent of Sterling Public Schools to comply with both the letter and spirit of the law in making certain discrimination does not exist in its policies, regulations and operations.
Specific complaints of alleged discrimination under Title IX, Title VI, and Section 504 should be referred to Adrian Allen, Superintendent of Schools, Sterling Public Schools, 250 Main St., P.O. Box 39, Sterling, NE 68443.
